I remember when the Magnum pop up store first opened in August. The lines were insane and I thought I'd lose my sanity if I stood in line for that long but instead I found other desirable places to satisfy my sweet tooth cravings. After visiting the Archibald Prize at the NSW Art Gallery we finally decided join the queue due to the rather short line up. I counted about 10 people in front of us and also the line was moving reasonably quick.
While in line there are provided menus on the sides which helped take our minds of the lines.
The create your own Magnum was a simple three step process which included choosing your desired ice cream flavoring
Then choose from 3-4 toppings from their long list of 18 different selections
And finally choosing the final step of which type of chocolate which range from milk chocolate, white chocolate and dark chocolate drizzling you like on top of your Magnum
Left: Milk Chocolate Magnum - $8.00
topped with pistachio, rose petals and dried strawberries
Right: Milk Chocolate Magnum - $8.00
topped with mocha chips, rose petals and dried Strawberries
I was absolutely in love with my creation which I topped with Pistachio, Rose petals and dried Strawberries. The first bite into the Magnum came with a loud signature crunch that only come from Magnums. With my choosing of the rose petals it infused the chocolate with the taste of rose and the dried strawberries gave the Magnum a sweet natural lift while the pistachios provided extra texture and crunch.
