GROUNDS OF ALEXANDRIA AT SCULPTURE BY THE SEA 2014

Yes don't you worry, this is a fool related post but each year it's become one of our traditions to attend the annual Bondi exhibition Sculpture by the Sea. It is a coastal walk from Bondi to Tamarama showcasing sculptures from local and international artists. Can you see this massive line of people zig-zaging its way up? The turn out was incredible and it was so good to see the different age groups of people enjoying the event, I have never seen it like this before.

This piece was definitely our favorite, the scale was massive and could be seen from  Icebergs restaurant. The chosen location was perfect for the art work.

The grand master piece of them all artworks. This pop up restaurant by The Grounds of Alexandria was sheer brilliant. I've been coming to Sculpture by the sea for years and this a mastermind for it had  people from everywhere who probably have never heard of the art event showed up.

Nothing beats an extremely well put together pop up restaurant on top of the coastal walk. The detailing of the event was spectacular. From the actual makeshift house with the recycled woods and timbers to the seating area, antique decor, herb garden and finally the for SALE sign in front of the house. Everything was left very authentic and chic, just like visiting a run down takeaway shack from around the corner.

High-Tide Mango Mulch - $9.00

Mango chuncks, mango juice, chia seeds, non fat milk, low fat yoghurt & LSA
Refreshing and undoubtedly two thumbs up! The mango fruit shake was bursting with mango overload and nothing beats the way its served with the added fresh watermelon and lemon pieces.

(Sea) Side of chips - $6.00
Crispy hot chips straight out of the fryer with a generous sprinkling of sea salt were finger licking good. Who knew you could find cafe style chips at the top of the coastal walk at an art event.

The juice shack was my personal favorite from the pop up store, It was so creative and a master stroke in our gorgeous Sydney weather.

Freshly squeezed Sugar canes with Pineapple juice -
$8.00

If only I had sugar canes sticks to juice at home, this is what I'd be juicing everyday!
None the less, the juice was wonderfully refreshing with a blend of pineapple juice.
