PAPPARICH

PappaRich is located just outside Westfields and opposite Parramatta train station. This place seems to be one of those restaurants who always have people lining up, however this time around for lunch there were only two other groups of people ahead of us.The service is noted for their fast and efficient service on our visit.

PappaRich has an excellent ordering system where you are provided with an ordering form along with a pencil. you then write the order number along with any special request such as any allergies. I guess the efficiency comes from you taking your own order and the wait staff coming to you to place your order into the kitchen. I can't complain because their system works and its the first time I've seen anything of its kind in a restaurant.

Pappa Deep Fried Chicken Skin - $6.90

Behold crispy chicken skin! It may not be the healthiest thing we've ever ordered but it certainly is one of the tastiest. The deep fried Chicken skin pieces were crunchy and  seasoned to perfection with a side dipping sauce of sweet chili. This is definitely something to try on your cheat day.

Roti Canai with Beef Rendang - $13.90

First of the Roti was incredible, I could eat the Roti on its own! I love the soft flakey croissant texture. The Beef randang was trendily soft although the flavor was lacking in so many levels, it tasted diluted. I can't say I enjoyed the other side dips in the plate because I also felt that they also lacked in flavor. The flavors tasted bland and somewhat watery.

Biryani Rice with Red Chicken & Sambal Prawns
 - $ 13.50

I've always had a soft spot for Biryani's and I can't say this hit the spot but what did was the red Chicken which has a good strong flavoring through it. It was also soft and felt apart easily. The Sambal Prawns definately came in second on this dish. They had a good spicy and tangy flavor from the Sambal sauce.

Banana Fritters with Vanilla Ice Cream - $6.90

Last dish and it was more then what meets the eye. I love banana fritters and these were super good with a light and crunchy batter on the outside of the bananas. Hot, crunchy on the outside and soft, hot and mushy in the inside. The side of ice cream was refreshing to have with the bananas.
